Polyamide is commonly known as nylon (Nylon), English name Polyamide (referred to as PA).

Polyamide is mainly used in synthetic fibers. Its most outstanding advantage is that it has higher wear resistance than all other fibers. It is 10 times more wear resistant than cotton and 20 times higher than wool. Some polyamide fibers are added to the blended fabric. It greatly improves its wear resistance; when stretched to 3-6%, the elastic recovery rate can reach 100%; it can withstand tens of thousands of times without breaking.

The strength of the polyamide fiber is 1-2 times higher than that of cotton and 4-5 times higher than that of wool, which is three times that of viscose. However, the heat resistance and light resistance of the polyamide fiber are inferior and the retainability is not good, and the finished clothes are not as crisp as polyester. In addition, the nylon-66 and nylon-6 used for clothing have the disadvantages of poor hygroscopicity and poor dyeability. For this purpose, a new type of polyamide fiber, nylon-3 and nylon-4, has been developed. It is considered to be very promising due to its light weight, excellent wrinkle resistance, good air permeability and good durability, dyeability and heat setting.

This kind of product is widely used, it is a good material for plastic, steel, iron, copper and other metals. It is an important engineering plastic; cast nylon widely replaces the wear parts of mechanical equipment, instead of copper and alloy as wear-resistant parts of equipment. Suitable for making wear parts, transmission structural parts, household appliance parts, automobile manufacturing parts, screw rods to prevent mechanical parts, chemical machinery parts, chemical equipment. Such as turbines, gears, bearings, impellers, cranks, instrument panels, drive shafts, valves, blades, screw rods, high pressure washers, screws, nuts, seals, shuttles, sleeves, bushing connectors, etc.
