Polypropylene is a thermoplastic resin obtained by polymerizing propylene.
The copolymer type PP material has a low heat distortion temperature (100 ° C), low transparency, low gloss, low rigidity, but has stronger impact strength, and the impact strength of PP increases with the increase of ethylene content.
Due to the high degree of crystallinity, this material has excellent surface stiffness and scratch resistance. There is no environmental stress cracking problem in PP.
The chemical stability of polypropylene is very good. Besides being attacked by concentrated sulfuric acid and concentrated nitric acid, it is stable to various other chemical reagents.
At the same time, its chemical stability increases with the increase of crystallinity, so polypropylene is suitable for making various chemical pipes and fittings with good anti-corrosion effect.
It has a high dielectric constant and can be used to make heated electrical insulation products as temperature rises. It also has a high breakdown voltage and is suitable for use as an electrical accessory. It has good resistance to voltage and arc resistance, but it has high static electricity and is easy to age with copper.
