1. Primary particles (primary PM) – filtered particles

A particle discharged directly in solid form.

At high temperature, it is discharged in gaseous form and condenses into solid primary condensable particles during cooling.

2. Second particles(second PM)-condensable particles

Refers to secondary particles produced by photochemical reactions of gaseous precursor pollutants such as SO2, NOx, NH3, and volatile organic compounds (VOC).
