Classification

1. Natural bamboo fiber

Natural bamboo fibers are mainly bamboo fibers. Bamboo fibers are natural bamboo fibers made by combining physical and chemical methods.

2. Chemical Bamboo Fiber

Chemical bamboo fibers can also be classified as bamboo pulp fibers and bamboo charcoal fibers.

Bamboo pulp fiber: Bamboo pulp fiber is a kind of fibers made from bamboo slices, then pulp into pulp and then wet spinning. Its manufacturing process is basically similar to viscose.

Bamboo Charcoal Fiber: It is a kind of fibre product which is made of nanometer bamboo charcoal powder, which is added into viscose spinning solution by special process and then spun by approximate conventional spinning process.

Structure

Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed that bamboo fibers had cross sections in the longitudinal direction, uneven distribution of coarse and fine fibers, and numerous micro-grooves on the surface of the fibers. The transverse direction is irregular ellipse, waist circle, etc. It has a middle cavity. The cross section is filled with large and small voids, and the edge is cracked. It is similar to the cross section of ramie fiber.
